What we liked
- + Simcoe adds pine, passion fruit and earthy notes to IPAs
- + 1 Lb bag is good value for brewers who use Simcoe often
- + Pellets pack densely and store well when frozen
Trade-offs
- - Strong character can taste catty if overused in delicate beers
- - A full pound is more than casual brewers can use while fresh
