What we liked
- + The 2 gallon conical fermenter makes about 16 pints and traps sediment at the bottom.
- + No airlock or siphon is needed because of a vent plug, and an adjustable spigot lets you bottle straight from it.
- + Eight 1 liter amber bottles, caps and a 4.6 percent ABV American ale recipe are included.
Trade-offs
- - It makes only 2 gallons per batch, less than the 3 gallon FastFerment it replaces, and it is a kit rather than a stand-alone fermenter.
- - It comes with one recipe, so you need to buy more ingredient refills.
