What we liked
- + 32 lb growler holds nearly ten times the extract of a 3.3 lb can, for brewers who make batch after batch
- + Made from 100 percent pure malted barley extract, per the listing
- + Gold to amber color and a subtle malty flavor, a base that works under most ale recipes
Trade-offs
- - Costs several times more up front than a single can, and only pays off if you brew often
- - 32 lb has to be measured out and kept between brew days, and the listing highlights give no storage guidance
